High School Bible Camp

When we have experienced true spiritual revival it is with great reluctance that we leave the place where we have experienced such overwhelming joy.  Last week the high school students spent two prayer-filled days at Camp Hoblitzelle where we introduced this year’s theme, “Unity.” The staff had planned many activities for the students, including family group activities, team building, and time for prayer. We enjoyed great music and drama, compliments of our Fine Arts department.

IMG_3072The family groups met for the first time this year. Their first order of business was to chose their group’s Bible text on Unity.

The fellowship time involved activities that were designed to help the new students become more acquainted and gave everyone opportunity to meet other academy students outside of their class. The staff also had time for interaction with students in a much more relaxed atmosphere.

Mr. Anavitarte spoke about what Jesus wants from us. His simple message of hope explained that Jesus only wants our heart. Are we willing to give Jesus our whole hearts?

We ended our Camp with Noah Bishop’s personal testimony. With tears in our eyes, we accepted Noah’s call to show our real faces and to rid ourselves of the mask we hide behind. Following his testimony, we ended in small group prayers.

The fire is officially lit! Let us bow our heads in prayer asking the Holy Spirit to fan the flame into a roaring fire.
