A Community Event
Join us for the first annual 5K and Community Health Fair Event, which will bring together the Burton Academy community of families and alumni, our surrounding neighbors & community, our church families and of course… friends of Burton! Kicking off with an 8 am 5K race benefiting the Rick Murray Athletic Scholarship Fund and the BAA Athletic Department, runners will enjoy an RFID race tracking experience along with a swag bag (race t-shirt included)! Immediately following the 5K, the fun continues with our health fair and family fun fest!

Calling All Volunteers
As this event will heavily depend on a team of volunteers to create a successful and memorable event for all, we encourage you to register as a volunteer even if you plan to participate in the 5K portion of the event. We’ll provide you with an event t-shirt and a great time!
Parking & Shuttle Service
Parking will be offered at the nearby Arlington SDA Church with all day shuttle service. For health fair vendors and early morning volunteers, on-site parking will be offered. For attendees and participants who prefer to walk between sites, a walking route will be offered.

5K. Join the Fun!
Open to all ages, the first annual Burton 5K will serve as a great opportunity to connect with the community helping to promote a healthy lifestyle while raising funds for a worthy cause! In fact, funds raised benefit the Rick Murray Athletic Scholarship Fund and the BAA Athletic Department.
Want to see how you stack up against other runners? Now is your chance as RFID race timing is included with race entry! And of course, you’ll enjoy a runner’s swag bag with an event t-shirt and other fun swag! More interested in an easy jog/walk of the course, come join the fun!
With a start/finish line on Burton’s campus, the 5K route will utilize surrounding roadways as permitted through the city of Arlington, facilitated by our support team and contracted raceway management vendor.

Kids: Girls 0-12 & Boys 0-12
Teens: Girls 13-19 & Boys 13-19
Adults: Women 20-39 & Men 20-39
Masters: Women 40+ & Men 40+

Friday, April 10 from 8:00 am to 5 pm at Burton Academy (4611 Kelly Elliott Rd, Arlington, TX 76017)

6:45-7:30 Packet Pickup (Highly recommended to pick up your packet before race day)

Family Fun Fair!
From bounce houses to fun fair food options, you’ll certainly enjoy more than just running for a great cause and learning about healthy living! The food and fun fair will run during the health fair (8 am to Noon) and will offer a great time to learn directly from healthy-lifestyle focused exhibitors and get connected to important services.
