Trip Details

  • Registration Deadline: 9/30/22 (Now closed)

  • Dates: March 12 - 20, 2023

  • Trip Location: Residencial Isla Canaria, Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic

  • Assigned Church Name: Regugio de Cristo

  • Trip Cost (Tax Deductible Portion): $1,850

  • Group Excursion Cost: $100 (Non-Tax Deductible Portion)

  • Luggage Info:

    • One carry-on and one roll aboard/duffle bag included/free

    • Full-size checked bags ($30/direction)

  • Participant Commitment Date & Amount: October 1/$100 (Non-Refundable)

  • A Church, School, & Maranatha Partnership: Burton Academy and the Arlington SDA Church are partnering with Maranatha for this mission trip, and will benefit from our experienced leadership team as well as the depth of knowledge and in-country support team offered by Maranatha.

  • Scope of Trip: We plan to have three elements of the trip:

    • Build: We will be constructing a church building for the local community

    • VBS: We will offer a Vacation Bible School for local kids and families

    • Medical Clinic: We will offer a local medical clinic with our team of medical professionals (parents and other volunteers attending) and supported by our students.

  • Trip Itinerary (Flying American Airlines):

    • Sunday, March 12: Depart DFW 7:20 AM, and arrive SDQ at 3:05 pm (connecting through Miami) on one combined flight

    • Monday, March 13 - Friday, March 17: Work days

    • Saturday, March 18: Worship & Outdoor Recreation

    • Sunday, March 19: 1-day Excursion

    • Monday, March 20: Depart SDQ on 2 separate flights: 7:00 am (flight of 19) & 12:01 pm (flight of 73), connecting through Miami
